Yenny Widjaja
Passion for DanceAdult Jazz
Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, Yenny trained in Ballet as well as Jazz Ballet for several years with teachers at Namarina Dance Academy, Jakarta. Her training in Hip-Hop, Street Jazz and Salsa started in 1998 through a one year intensive dance scholarship with Lionel Araya in Singapore.
In the past 18 years, she has garnered performance experience in various dance events in Singapore. Her teaching experiences include Jazz and Hip Hop classes for Marlupi Dance Academy, a leading dance company in Indonesia; Celebrity Fitness, Indonesia’s premiere gym; Indonesian Fitness Association (ASKI) and Royal Academy of Dancing Indonesia Summer Camp. Yenny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication (Communication and Media Studies/Public Relations). She was a judge for Sampoerna A-Mild B-Boy Competition in Indonesia and has represented LADC to teach a Salsa workshop and perform at Club Med Bintan. Yenny is a founding member of LADC.
