Nurul Elyana
Passion for DanceAdult Jazz

A graduate from LASALLE College of The Arts Dance Diploma programme, Ely is a versatile dancer with over 10 years of dancing experience. Like many others, she began her dance journey in primary school with Hip Hop. She was then offered a chance to participate in the Dance Talent Development Programme (DTDP) in 2017, which fuelled her hunger for the arts. Her movement vocabulary grew rapidly with professional dance training in various dance genres such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Street Dance.

Through LASALLE College Of The Arts, she performed works by renowned local artists such as Yarra Ileto, Sufri Juwahir, Muhd Sharul Mohd, Jenny Neo as well as overseas artists including Fairul Zahid (Malaysia) and Susan Yeung (Singapore/Hong Kong). Ely had the opportunity to perform “Allocentric”, a contemporary piece by Fairul Zahid for the 41st Battery Dance Festival 2022 in New York and secured “Mina Yoo’s Prize” with a duet titled “SOPAN” for The 19th Seoul International Dance Competition Choreography. She has since been working closely with preschoolers under enrichment dance programmes as well as actively performing in shows such as “Grow With Me” by The Kueh Tutus and “Gerak ABC” by The RolyPoly Family. As new generations of dancers emerge, Ely hopes to share her love for the arts through a wholesome and vibrant learning experience in class.
